Are you ready to lead and inspire a team to deliver fleet-related projects and improvements on time and within budget? Join Avanti West Coast as a key player in driving business success and building of strong relationships both internally and externally.

During this role, you will provide leadership and support to the Fleet and Engineering Team, while representing the team in relationships with Network Rail and at industry forums.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure appropriate reporting and representation within the business and to external stakeholders.
  • Lead business improvement and major projects related to rolling stock, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Establish and manage a team of project managers/engineers, ensuring robust risk and change management processes.
  • Develop business cases for fleet improvement projects and secure necessary funding and resources.

Key Relationships and Interfaces:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, including TSPs, ROSCOs, Network Rail, and various internal departments.
  • Influence and hold suppliers accountable to ensure high standards and timely delivery.
  • Provide crucial information and collaborate effectively with the safety team, operations team, and Customer Experience team.
  • Cultivate strong internal and external partnerships to drive business success and project efficiency.
