We are on the hunt for our new Operations Director. 

This role sits at the heart of the business being responsible for leading the operational performance and management of Train Operations, Drivers, Control, Performance and Resources.  With these functions running smoothly and efficiently, we are able to delight our customers and stakeholders, and our colleagues can be proud of the service they deliver.

The successful candidate will have overall strategic responsibility for all aspects of Avanti West Coast Operational planning and delivery and will be accountable for the deployment and delivery of the operations strategy.  We are looking for someone who will continually identify opportunities and deliver solutions to enhance our operational performance, ensuring positive impact on customer experience and doing the right thing for the business.  It goes without saying that you will fully support our Safety Strategy, ensuring safety is front of mind in all our activities.

As a member of the Executive team, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business and role model our leadership behaviours and values.

We are looking for someone who has senior level experience of operations within the Rail sector and is degree educated or by experience.  You will need to be a strong leader able to manage, motivate and influence your senior team, you’ll have gravitas and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  This role is for someone wishing to create a positive legacy in a high-profile role within Avanti West Coast.

This role can be based at either our Birmingham or London Euston offices.
