Job description
We are seeking a driven and experienced On-Board Manager to join our team based at Preston. This role is essential to our success, with a focus on our people and customer experience. ** Please note, this role is based at our management offices at Preston station and not on the train- travel is required onboard when supporting the onboard teams**
This is a people centric role, where you will be responsible for a large, dedicated team of on-board crews who deliver the service to our customers. You will be responsible for leading and engaging your team to 'win together' and deliver a consistent level of excellence in customer service. You will be instrumental in 'sharing your spark' and bringing the company vision and brand values to life through your team.
Key accountabilities include:
- Managing behaviours in line with the business values, supervising performance, sickness absence and availability levels of your team and ensuring that you provide feedback and address issues that may arise.
- Lead and own the implementation of any planned changes and to support on board teams with any new commercial activities.
- Responsible for the safety of your On-Board teams ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure the delivery of great customer service in all circumstances.
This post holds an 'On Call' commitment and requires flexibility to work hours that suit the railway environment.
