We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Possession Readiness Delivery Manager to oversee the operational readiness for engineering work blockades tied to the TriLink programme and other North West & Crewe initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring our operational teams are fully prepared to execute engineering works seamlessly.
This role can be based out of Birmingham, London or Preston.
Key Accountabilities:
- Scoping and Coordination: Scope and coordinate operational changes driven by engineering work that will impact frontline duties before, during, and after blockades.
- Facilitating Suitable Facilities: Collaborate with local management and trade unions to ensure the provision of suitable mess facilities during blockades, especially when these differ from existing requirements.
- Engagement in Operational Requirements: Attend LDC and Company Council meetings to discuss operational needs for upcoming possessions, ensuring union and frontline colleagues are engaged.
- Identifying Operational Alternatives: Work with Network Rail, other Train Operators, and internal teams to identify and facilitate suitable alternatives where operational facilities do not exist.
- Operational Notices and Safety: Coordinate with the Safety team to deliver Operational Notices related to engineering works, ensuring operational grades undertake new or different actions as required by planned disruptions.
Who we’re looking for:
- Knowledge of Managing Possessions: Managing possessions and interfacing with other business departments.
- Understanding Operational Requirements: Operational requirements and how agreements affect readiness.
- Readiness Principles: Knowledge of readiness principles for successful project delivery.
- Tracking Action Plans: Experience in tracking action plans and coordinating large groups.
- Cross-Functional Skills: Strong cross-functional relationship-building, project planning, and communication skills.
