Leading the Way in Engineering Readiness and Operational Excellence 

 

As the Head of Marketing, Avanti West Coast you will play a pivotal leadership role increasing overall revenue and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans to deliver revenue growth, leading and developing a high performing marketing team and working cross functionally across the business and wider rail industry to inspire travel by rail.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Create and implement integrated broadcast marketing campaigns to drive profitable growth and increase share of business and leisure travel occasions
  • Performance Marketing: Develop leading edge digital performance marketing strategies to maximise in market demand, drive channel shift and deliver revenue and ROI targets
  • Loyalty & CRM: Grow loyalty and CRM programmes, transform the customer experience using data and technology, providing timely and relevant journey information to increase satisfaction
  • Brand and Design: Lead brand team and design studio to provide cost efficient creative services and lead business critical strategic brand projects
  • Customer insight: Lead insight programmes, identifying trends to measure and inform customer service and operational delivery
  • Customer Proposition: Development future enhancements (product or service) for the commercial and customer proposition
  • Agency & Budget Management: Oversee third party agency relationships and manage marketing budget ensuring efficient use of marketing spend
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and coach a team of marketing specialists, building overall team capability and expertise

 

Who we’re looking for:                                         

  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of ‘full funnel’ marketing programs, brand building, loyalty & CRM, customer proposition and insight leadership with the commercial acumen to drive revenue performance.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, creative judgment, negotiation, and expertise in broadcast, digital, and loyalty marketing.
  • Experience: Senior marketing roles in large organisations with customer experience brands and broad leadership expertise across multiple marketing disciplines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage stakeholders, including industry partners, and experience in launching brands or customer propositions.
  • Qualifications: Professional marketing qualification or relevant degree, or demonstrable experience in marketing/business
