Lead Interface Manager: Lead Change, Shape Rail's Future!

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Interface Manager to drive the transformational change of our stations, making them vibrant and welcoming spaces for our customers and communities. This role is pivotal in managing the interface between station projects and day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion seamless project integration: Be the driving force behind the smooth interface between station projects and daily operations, swiftly addressing any issues that arise.
  • Safety first, always: Lead the charge in ensuring strict safety compliance, mitigating risks, and keeping everyone safe throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong connections: Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Network Rail and contractors, to ensure project success.
  • Navigate approvals with expertise: Skilfully manage the process of obtaining essential consents and approvals, paving the way for project progress.
  • Oversee site activities: Keep a watchful eye on all site-based activities, ensuring they meet safety standards and project requirements. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of CDM, JCT, and NEC contracts; understanding of RIBA and/or GRIP plans of work; knowledge of the railway industry.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to prioritise workload; flexibility in work hours and location; customer-focused and able to thrive in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in project or property management, particularly in a live railway environment; experience working with contractors and suppliers; ability to manage complex station environments.
  • Qualifications: Degree level qualification or relevant experience in a railway operational or project environment.
