Are you passionate about connecting people and driving engagement? We're looking for a vibrant individual to play a pivotal role within our Internal Communication team. You'll be at the heart of our mission to keep our colleagues informed, involved, and inspired, ensuring they have the tools and information they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences.  This role can be based out of either our Birmingham or London offices.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Enhance Communication Channels: Contribute to the strategy by developing ideas and initiatives to improve channel effectiveness, including introducing new channels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly HR, and advise senior leaders to ensure communications meet departmental needs.
  • Leadership Communication: Lead and deliver the communication plan for managers and leaders, including monthly calls and quarterly conferences.
  • Project Support: Assist with cross-organisational internal communications and engagement projects as agreed with the Head of Internal Communications.
  • Event Coordination: Support the development and delivery of in-person and virtual events, manage content, publish updates, and assist the Media team during busy periods and on-call duty. Deputise for the Head of Internal Communications when needed.

Who we're looking for:

  • Internal Communications Expertise: Minimum of 5 years' experience in internal communications, especially for diverse frontline audiences, with expert knowledge of channels, business partnering, and best practices.
  • Audience Understanding: Ability to understand different audience types within large, geographically dispersed organisations.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, including executive leadership, with the confidence to challenge and influence effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Strong knowledge of strategic planning, using measurement, data, and insights to shape future plans and strategies.
