Join our Internal Communication team in a pivotal role, where you'll help keep our people informed, involved, and equipped to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

With most of our colleagues in frontline roles and limited time spent in offices or team spaces, our strategy prioritises frontline first engagement. You'll ensure effective reach with targeted, relevant content on various topics, aligning with our business plans and values.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Enhance Communication Strategies: Support and develop ideas to improve channel effectiveness and introduce new channels.
  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Ensure communications meet departmental needs and advise senior leaders.
  • Content and Events: Oversee content updates, quarterly magazine, weekly newsletter, and event delivery.
  • Coordinate Communication Metrics: Compile dashboards to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and Report: Track performance outcomes, manage third-party impacts, and ensure delivery of improvement plans.

Who we're looking for:

  • Internal Communications Knowledge: Channels, business partnering, and best practices, with an understanding of different audience types within large, geographically dispersed organisations
  • Writing Skills: Excellent writing skills and attention to detail, including article/messaging copy and communication plan development, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple topics and audiences.
  • Development and Growth: Within complex environments, such as the rail industry, and assimilate information quickly and easily.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders and provide advice to senior leaders.
